The Infrastructure Cluster comprises Engineering, Technical and Administrative professionals of Liberian descent in the Diaspora. We are a focus group committed to collaboratively join and work with our local counterparts. We are determined to affect change, positively altering today’s local team approach, in the process of developing genuine and dependable “BUILDING BETTER” Systems in the Liberian Infrastructural developmental goals, which will be utilized to provide equity for the country and people. We will be committed, responsible and dependable as equals, deliberating with one simple message of good service to our people and country. We will not have any political affiliation; will speak plainly and be straight in communicating within and outside COLED to any institution and government entity that seeks to partner with us in achieving our goal of transforming Liberia’s soft and Hard infrastructure system.

Samuel A. Abdullai Sr.
Samuel A. Abdullai Sr. is a seasoned mechanical engineer, global operations leader, and community servant with decades of experience spanning engineering, manufacturing, aviation, and public service.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Hannover Technical College in Hannover, Germany, and is fluent in the German language.
Mr. Abdullai migrated to the United States in 1996 and became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 2004. He is a proud father of four children—three daughters and one son.
He retired in 2018 as a Global Process Manager from Vision Ease Lens Manufacturing Company (now HOYA USA Inc.) in Ramsey, Minnesota. In this role, he was responsible for implementing, controlling, and managing production processes both domestically and across multiple locations in Asia. Over more than 16 years, he successfully led diverse, multicultural teams in international environments, including operations in Jakarta, Indonesia, and Bangkok, Thailand.
Prior to this, Mr. Abdullai served for over 19 years as Superintendent of the Mechanical Department at the Bong Mining Company. In this capacity, he oversaw ore shipment operations, railroad transport systems, and civil engineering functions. He also served as an Aviation Supervisor for Mobil Oil Liberia, where he managed Jet-A1 aviation fuel operations, including aircraft refueling.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Abdullai has demonstrated a strong commitment to community and faith-based leadership. He was the first Chairman of the Liberian Episcopal Community in the USA (LECUSA) Chapter in Minnesota and has served as a Board Member of the Episcopal Church in Holmes, Minnesota. He also served as Treasurer and member of the League of Minnesota Human Rights Commissions and contributed to the City of Shoreview Human Rights Commission.
His church leadership includes serving as a Vestry Member at St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church in Roseville–St. Paul and as a member of the Diocesan Discernment Committee of the Episcopal Church in Minnesota. He currently serves as Senior Warden at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Outside of his professional and community commitments, Mr. Abdullai is an avid tennis player and a passionate soccer enthusiast.
